Where is Beaufort?
Nestled in the sunny south of France close to the Mediterranean
and Spain, the little village of Beaufort lies deep in the heart of the
historic
Minervois wine
region of Languedoc-Roussillion.

Despite being tucked away in rural southern France, Beaufort really is quite accessible. Frequent flights from London or Paris are offered by some major airlines and discount carriers to a number of regional cities (Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nîmes, Perpignan, Toulouse —and Girona in Spain). Typically, these flights take from only one to one and a half hours to arrive in the area. Depending on where you land, Beaufort can be as close as a half hour or a two hour drive by car.
You can also travel to the region by rail. The French railway system (SNCF) or the high-speed TGV are reliable and offer a great way to see the country. The nearest rail station to Beaufort is in the neighbouring town of Narbonne.
